You can generally see gunfights coming, especially if a duty holster is applicable to your job. You’re a lot more likely to need that gun to be secure when you’re rolling around on the ground with a bad guy, than you are to get in a speed based duel in front of the saloon. You should still train to be fast, but speed shouldn’t be the number one concern. Safariland is the best in the business for retention holsters, hands down.

You shouldn’t need a 4000 dollar handgun and a large window red dot sight to be a decent shooter. Just make it work with what you have. The 2011 platform has questionable reliability over an extended round count anyway. Plenty of guys/gals have won world championships in various pistol shooting sports with Glocks, M&P’s, P320’s, etc. Yes, sometimes even with a stock pistol (no modifications). These guns also cost 1/8 a Staccato. For anyone who has doubts, look up Robert Vogel. Look up Tony Wong. The list goes on. It’s about training, not marketing. Other than that, I love Safariland and love what the company is about. There’s no doubt they are the best in the business for duty holsters. There is no comparison.
